About the Role
You will oversee compliance detection models and their supporting data infrastructure for fiat and virtual-currency products. You will use AI tools to automate oversight, documentation, and monitoring; establish model governance; build dashboards; manage testing and tuning controls; and provide effective challenge throughout the model lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of compliance technology experience at regulated financial institutions or as a consultant serving financial institutions
- Hands-on experience building production automation with Claude, GPT, or comparable LLM-based agents
- Prompt engineering
- Agentic workflow design
- Experience with machine learning and heuristic models across transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk scoring
- Experience with input data quality monitoring
- Experience with model performance monitoring
- Experience conducting AML model validations aligned with SR 11-7 and OCC 2011-12
- Experience responding to examinations and consent orders
- Experience working with regulators and independent monitors
- Experience with virtual currencies
- Familiarity with Chainalysis and TRM Labs
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives
- Understanding of regulated financial services and compliance obligations
- Familiarity with machine-learning statistical concepts
- Expertise in data analytics and visualization
Responsibilities
- Build AI-enabled automation for oversight, monitoring, and documentation
- Design human-in-the-loop checkpoints for automated outputs
- Establish model and data governance frameworks
- Provide effective challenge throughout the model development lifecycle
- Lead the design and development of real-time model-health dashboards
- Set standards for threshold tuning and Below the Line testing controls
- Identify model degradation and support tuning or deprecation decisions
- Oversee transaction monitoring models, detection logic, thresholds, and alert data pipelines
- Oversee blockchain analytics and screening tools
- Oversee sanctions screening models
- Oversee customer risk-scoring models
- Oversee the design and validation of AI-driven case-resolution models
