About the Role

You will manage month-end close, prepare management accounts and board packs, handle statutory and regulatory submissions, coordinate audits and tax matters, drive forecasting and variance analysis, improve reconciliations with automation, and translate complex financial data into clear business insight.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • At least four to five years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in a Big Four firm or a fintech or regulated financial services business.
  • Hands-on experience with statutory reporting and regulatory submissions.
  • Experience managing stakeholders in a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze large and complex data sets.
  • Confidence using AI tools for reconciliations, processing, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with senior management and board-level audiences.
  • Experience in a newly authorized or early-stage regulated entity is advantageous.
  • Exposure to multi-currency accounting and cross-border financial flows is advantageous.
  • Experience with the Central Bank of Ireland is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full month-end close process.
  • Prepare management accounts and board packs.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
  • Manage external auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Finance when required.
  • Drive forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage high-volume reconciliations and improve related processes.
  • Use AI tools and NetSuite automation to streamline reporting.
  • Build relationships with operations, tax, and planning teams.
  • Verify AI outputs before using them in reporting.
