About the Role
You will manage day-to-day accounting operations and general ledgers for multiple entities. You will deliver month-end and year-end closes, prepare accounts and reconciliations, support statutory and group audits, manage fixed assets and intercompany charges, prepare management reporting and variance analysis, assist with budgeting and cash-flow planning, and coordinate with banks, tax authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of auditing or accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- CA or CPA certification or progress toward certification is a strong plus.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English.
- Knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting closing reconciliations accruals prepayments and fixed asset accounting.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables VLOOKUP XLOOKUP formulas reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing or public accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end and year-end closing deliverables.
- Prepare full sets of accounts for multiple entities.
- Maintain general ledgers and oversee daily accounting operations.
- Prepare and review accounting entries bank reconciliations and closing schedules.
- Support group and local statutory audits.
- Count verify and reconcile fixed assets.
- Support asset capitalization additions and disposals.
- Maintain purchase contracts and communicate with site managers.
- Perform intercompany cross charges.
- Review invoices contracts payment requests and supporting documents.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs and variance explanations.
- Support budgeting forecasting and financial modeling.
- Support cash-flow planning and funding requirement reviews.
- Liaise with banks auditors tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Provide documents and support communication for tax matters.
- Identify accounting reporting and control issues and escalate significant matters.
