About the Role
You will review customer contracts and create sales orders in NetSuite for accurate revenue accounting. You will support contract negotiations, billing, revenue reconciliations, receivables, journal entries, general ledger integrity, payroll data validation, cost-control planning, and ad hoc accounting projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
- At least five years of accounting experience at a global or U.S.-headquartered company
- Experience with general ledger journal entries and month-end close
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accrual accounting and revenue recognition principles
- Proficiency with NetSuite
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities independently and cross-functionally
- Close attention to detail and analytical rigor
Responsibilities
- Review customer contracts and create sales orders in NetSuite
- Partner with Sales and Legal during contract negotiations
- Ensure sales orders and milestones are accurately billed
- Prepare and reconcile deferred revenue unbilled accounts receivable and commission accruals
- Review receivables and customer deposit transactions
- Record and review general ledger journal entries
- Reconcile accounts and support general ledger integrity
- Validate payroll data between HR and Accounting
- Recommend cost-control opportunities and support ad hoc accounting projects
