About the Role
You will lead the development and benchmarking of non-viral donor-template delivery methods for recombinase-based large gene insertion. You will design cell-based assays and experiments, analyze data for decisions, validate approaches in relevant systems, mentor colleagues, and communicate research conclusions.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field and 2-4 years of academic or biotechnology experience
- Track record solving problems in gene editing, in vivo delivery, or protein engineering
- Ability to develop mechanistic cell-based assays and troubleshoot biological systems
- Understanding of nucleic acid delivery barriers in mammalian cells
- Experience with molecular cloning, nucleic acid construct design, and mammalian cell engineering
- Experience with NGS-based assays for genome-editing outcomes
- Ongoing United States work authorization without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lead development and benchmarking of non-viral donor-template delivery methods
- Design and execute experiments addressing template stability, trafficking, and nuclear availability
- Develop quantitative assays linking delivery measurements to insertion efficiency and fidelity
- Analyze data and present conclusions for go/no-go decisions
- Validate delivery approaches in cell-based and in vivo systems
- Mentor junior team members and peers
