About the Role
You will plan, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments with increasing independence. You will conduct mouse studies and injections, process tissue for sectioning, immunostaining, and imaging, comply with animal-research regulations and safety standards, present data, and maintain detailed lab records.
Requirements
- BS with 2+ years of relevant experience or an MS in molecular biology, neuroscience, or a relevant field
- Laboratory animal handling, restraint, and approved-protocol procedure experience
- Organization and time management
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Oral and written communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work some weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments
- Perform in vivo mouse experiments, stereotaxic surgeries, and IV and IP injections
- Collect and process tissue using sectioning, immunostaining, and imaging
- Comply with animal-research regulations
- Follow safety and hazardous-material handling standards
- Analyze and present data at meetings and seminars
- Maintain an organized and detailed lab notebook
