About the Role
You will design and maintain a scalable AI platform, operate Kubernetes clusters for model deployment, and build abstractions across AWS, GCP, or Azure. You will automate model training, testing, and deployment, maintain security and compliance, troubleshoot performance and reliability issues, and apply rigorous engineering practices throughout development.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Have at least ten years of software and platform engineering experience.
- Design and build scalable APIs and microservices.
- Demonstrate strong Kubernetes proficiency, including Helm, Kustomize, and custom resource definitions.
- Have hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Use Docker and containerd for containerization.
- Use CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understand cloud networking, security policies, and API gateways.
- Program proficiently in Rust and C++.
- Understand distributed systems and cluster orchestration.
- Understand PyTorch, JAX, NumPy, and Python.
- Use Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring.
- Have experience in Agile development teams.
- Preferably have experience building SDKs or client libraries.
- Preferably understand Spark or Dask.
- Preferably understand GPU orchestration and optimization in Kubernetes.
- Preferably understand MLOps and machine-learning lifecycle pipelines.
- Preferably have experience training and fine-tuning AI models.
- Preferably understand event-driven architecture and Kafka.
- Preferably have experience with Cassandra.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable AI platform.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for deploying AI models.
- Build abstractions for managing cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous model training, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure platform security and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform performance and reliability issues.
- Refine business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Apply quality software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate across offices and countries.
- Track emerging AI and cloud engineering technologies.
