About the Role
You will lead robot-based automation projects for customers in manufacturing, logistics, retail, pharmaceuticals, beverages, and consumer goods. You will define customer challenges and automation concepts, develop system specifications, coordinate engineers, customers, and vendors, and manage schedules, costs, quality, and issues. You will drive testing, on-site installation and commissioning, and post-launch improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in production engineering, equipment design, systems engineering, application engineering, or a similar role for industrial equipment
- Experience consistently involved in equipment evaluation, design, commissioning, or implementation
- Experience driving work involving customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Business-level Japanese proficiency
- Comfort communicating in English for work, including chat
Responsibilities
- Organize customer challenges and develop automation concepts and requirements
- Define system specifications and evaluate technologies for robots, end effectors, and peripheral equipment
- Coordinate projects with internal engineers, customers, and vendors
- Manage schedules, specifications, costs, quality, and issues
- Drive internal testing, on-site deployment and commissioning, and post-launch improvements
