About the Role
You will build, maintain, and operate robot hardware for research and deployment experiments. You will implement C++ and Python software for control, planning, and ROS-based systems; develop policy-deployment and data-collection infrastructure; run experiments; troubleshoot failures; and build deployment and regression tests.
Requirements
- Experience in robot manipulation and robot hardware
- C++ and Python experience in robotics or machine-learning environments
- Robotics and machine-learning fundamentals
- Ability to translate research into robust systems
- PhD preferred, or MS with strong relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and operate robot hardware for research and deployment experiments
- Implement and maintain C++ and Python robot software for control, planning, and ROS or ROS2 systems
- Develop infrastructure for policy deployment and data collection
- Run robot experiments and define data-collection pilots
- Debug robotic software, hardware, and policy failures in lab environments
- Build deployment and regression tests
