About the Role
You will support customers and operate autonomous welding cells during the Friday-to-Sunday shift. You will troubleshoot and repair automation equipment, monitor cell performance, record engineering data, interpret technical drawings, maintain welding and pneumatic systems, and integrate welding cells into customer manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Technical training, Trade School certification, Associate degree in Engineering Tech, engineering degree, or related industry experience
- Experience designing, assembling, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Customer support experience
- Welding experience
- Fabrication or machine shop experience
- Linux experience
- Ability to learn programming languages
- Ability to work with small and fragile components
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to operate shop equipment
- Ability to climb ladders and work in awkward positions
Responsibilities
- Support customers and operate autonomous welding cells
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently
- Coordinate with engineering to troubleshoot issues
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Monitor cell performance and part fit-up
- Record data for engineering issue resolution
- Read engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Service pneumatic systems, welding equipment, robotics, and electrical automation devices
- Integrate autonomous welding cells into customer manufacturing processes
- Inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components
