About the Role
You will own the Nigeria revenue motion across product lines from prospecting to closing, identify and activate corridor opportunities Nigeria to China UAE and UK Europe, and land anchor clients such as PSPs fintechs and regulated platforms. You will collaborate with Compliance Operations and Product to unblock deals and speed up onboarding, and you will continually refine the Nigeria revenue playbook to scale across West Africa.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of B2B commercial experience in payments cross-border infrastructure fintech or financial services with a track record of owning and hitting revenue targets.
- Direct experience working on West Africa cross-border corridors particularly Nigeria to China, Nigeria to UAE, or equivalent high-volume import/export or B2B payment flows.
- Proven ability to sell API-driven or infrastructure-layer products to technical and commercial buyers PSPs fintechs neobanks or enterprise operators.
- A genuine hunter instinct you know how to build a target list, run a disciplined outbound motion, and close deals without being handed a warm pipeline.
- Commercial fluency across both the hunting and farming motion you can open new logos and deepen existing ones without losing momentum on either.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian fintech and payments ecosystem: key players, regulatory landscape (CBN, SEC), and where the real pain is for businesses moving money across borders.
- Familiarity with stablecoin settlement, USDT treasury flows, or crypto-native business models — or a clear ability to get up to speed fast and sell credibly into that segment.
- CRM discipline and data-driven pipeline management (HubSpot preferred).
- Based in Nigeria — Lagos strongly preferred.
- Prior experience selling into or working with regulated crypto/VASP platforms, stablecoin issuers, or Web3-native businesses.
- Existing network among Nigerian PSPs, IMTOs, tier-2 banks, or high-volume import/export businesses.
- Experience as an early or sole commercial hire in a startup — you've built pipeline without full infrastructure before.
- French language proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a territory plan for Nigeria to identify, prioritise, and close new logos across three product lines.
- Own corridor-specific revenue motions: Nigeria to China (import payments and supplier settlements), Nigeria to UAE (trade, logistics, re-export hubs), and Nigeria to UK/Europe (professional services and tech outsourcing), and inbound USD/GBP/EUR collection flows for digital exporters and freelancers.
