About the Role

You manage the end-to-end onboarding of 401(k) plans on the Gusto platform, including new implementations and conversions. You guide plan sponsors and administrators through setup, documentation, asset transfers, data reconciliation, and first contributions while coordinating with internal teams and keeping plans on schedule.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of total work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in client-facing implementation, account management, technical onboarding, or retirement plan administration

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of 401(k) plans from signing through activation, asset transfer, and first contribution processing
  • Serve as the primary contact for plan sponsors and administrators
  • Guide employers through task dashboards and follow up to prevent delays
  • Monitor activation, readiness, CSAT, and response-time benchmarks
  • Gather documentation for conversion plans
  • Support accurate data submission and asset transfers
  • Partner with Operations on recordkeeping transitions
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Legal on setup and compliance issues
  • Surface client feedback to Product and leadership
  • Stay current on 401(k) regulations and best practices
  • Use AI tools to streamline workflows and client communications
