About the Role
You own reconciliation across the general ledger, sub-ledgers, bank accounts and partner settlements. You investigate discrepancies, recover unsettled transactions, prepare financial reports, resolve disputes with cross-functional teams, maintain partner relationships, and support audits.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of global payment and settlement transaction chains
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and reconciliation tools
- Analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Fintech or financial institution experience is strongly preferred
- Credit card reconciliation or credit product knowledge is a plus
- General accounting principles and banking systems knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Reconcile transactions across general and sub-ledgers
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions end to end
- Identify and resolve transaction discrepancies
- Investigate and recover unsettled transactions with partners and banks
- Monitor disputed transactions for potential fraud
- Prepare daily, month-end and year-end reports
- Present reconciliation findings to management
- Resolve customer disputes with Customer Services, Engineering and Product
- Maintain banking and payments partner relationships
- Support auditors with documentation and ensure data quality
