About the Role

You will own the test plan for an AI-enabled decision-support system and turn product acceptance criteria into executable tests. You will build automation and release gates assess performance and load validate model outputs measure errors and user overrides coordinate customer acceptance testing and maintain evidence for every release. You will independently determine whether releases meet their requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software quality engineering test automation or software engineering with dedicated test ownership
  • Strong coding ability in Python with pytest or JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright Cypress or Selenium
  • Ability to read and reason about application code
  • Routine use of AI-assisted development with judgment about verification
  • Experience building automated test suites and integrating them into CI/CD release gates
  • Experience owning test plans through review and acceptance
  • Experience testing against requirements and working with product owners or end users
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • Working statistical literacy including sampling design
  • Experience measuring system misses
  • Ability to maintain independent evaluation and gate work owned by others
  • Clear audit-ready written documentation
  • US citizenship required
  • Active US Secret clearance
  • Favorable investigation and CAC eligibility from the start
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Own functional integration performance and load test plans
  • Translate product acceptance criteria into executable tests
  • Review requirements for ambiguity and verifiability
  • Build automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD release gates
  • Establish automated coverage standards and report coverage results
  • Maintain regression coverage across releases
  • Build labeled evaluation sets with subject-matter experts
  • Design sampled audits of automated decisions
  • Measure system misses user overrides and other committed quality metrics
  • Document measurement methods data sources and release evidence
  • Maintain version inventories across builds models configurations and thresholds
  • Produce test reports evaluation records and rollback criteria
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and track findings through resolution
  • Confirm test environments match production closely enough for meaningful results
  • Hold release gates until required evidence is complete
