About the Role
You will build and steward relationships across the open-source AI community, convening contributors, maintainers, and projects to advance public-interest goals. You will operate and maintain a CRM of contributors, design and run convenings and working sessions, project-manage cross-organizational collaborations, make introductions that connect people and projects, support contributor onboarding and community engagement on GitHub, and strengthen open-source presence at conferences and community spaces.
Requirements
- Existing relationships in the open-source AI community
- Strong project management and coordination instincts
- Comfort running and maintaining a CRM or equivalent system
- Genuine community-building energy
- Working familiarity with the open-source AI stack including foundation models, inference, fine-tuning, and evaluation
- Familiarity with public-interest questions such as AI governance, digital sovereignty, and openness debates
- Comfort convening and elevating others rather than self-promotion
- Bonus if you have organized an open-source community, foundation, working group, or recurring convening
- Bonus if you have worked across multiple open-source projects
- Bonus if you have an existing platform or following in the open-source AI world
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with open-source AI builders, maintainers, and contributors
