About the Role
You will manage developer community activities on Discord, onboard members, answer and route questions, moderate conversations, run activities, and report metrics. You will maintain the content calendar, draft community content, update project trackers, prepare status updates, and support partner co-marketing logistics.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program in marketing, communications, computer science, business, or a related field
- Be active in online communities such as Discord, GitHub, or Reddit
- Demonstrate clear, friendly, and concise writing
- Manage multiple events and deadlines
- Use Google Workspace or Notion, Canva, and social platforms
- Demonstrate interest in AI, cloud computing, or developer tools
- Follow up with vendors and teammates
- Have authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Welcome and onboard Discord community members
- Keep Discord channels organized and active
- Answer first-line questions and route technical questions to engineers
- Moderate conversations according to community guidelines
- Run polls, challenges, and AMAs
- Compile weekly community metrics
- Maintain the developer content calendar across newsletters, blogs, social posts, webinars, and event promotion
- Draft social posts, event recaps, and newsletter sections
- Update project trackers and prepare weekly status updates
- Assist with partner co-marketing logistics
