About the Role

You will support the operational growth of Public AI Switzerland by coordinating with founding partners and cantonal and federal stakeholders. You will help advance the Public AI Inference Utility and deploy Apertus as flagship public AI infrastructure. You will build trust and develop relationships across Switzerland's public sector, national research institutions, and the AI industry. You will help align Swiss interests with an international coalition, contribute to the Swiss National AI Dialogue, and support preparation for the Swiss AI Summit in February 2027. You will provide political and operational advice to consortium-building efforts and work closely with engineering teams and cooperative members.

Requirements

• Strong operational instincts to move initiatives forward and coordinate complex workstreams
• Existing connections or credibility within Switzerland's AI, research, policy, or public sector communities
• Familiarity with Swiss tech, policy, and research ecosystems or the social intelligence to grow such a network
• Working familiarity with technical open source AI subjects such as foundation models, inference infrastructure, and open weights
• Working familiarity with policy subjects such as AI governance, digital sovereignty, and public infrastructure
• A keen interest in AI, geopolitics, public infrastructure, or technology governance
• Experience in diplomacy, international tech collaborations, foundation models, or national AI strategies (bonus)
• Working proficiency in German, French, or Italian alongside English (bonus)

• Support the operational growth of Public AI Switzerland, including coordination with founding partners and cantonal and federal stakeholders
• Advance the Public AI Inference Utility and support deployment of Apertus
• Build trust and develop relationships across the public sector, national research institutions, and the AI industry
• Align Swiss interests with a broader international coalition focused on public AI
• Contribute to the Swiss National AI Dialogue and other public deliberation efforts tied to Apertus
• Support preparation for Public AI's participation in the Swiss AI Summit, including programming and partner engagement
• Provide political and operational advice to support consortium building
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and Public AI Switzerland cooperative members
