About the Role

You will prepare, fabricate, post-process, and inspect 3D-printed prototypes. You will modify parts and fixtures in CAD, select materials and build parameters, operate and maintain printers, troubleshoot failed builds, support assembly and functional testing, and document practical process improvements.

Requirements

• One to three years of hands-on experience in additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, model making, or manufacturing
• Ability to prepare, slice, set up, and troubleshoot additive-manufacturing builds
• Ability to perform routine printer maintenance
• Working knowledge of a 3D CAD tool and mechanical drawings, dimensions, and fits
• Experience using calipers or similar inspection tools
• Experience with post-processing, assembly, and accurate build and inspection records
• Ability to work onsite in San Carlos, California
• Knowledge of equipment and material-handling procedures

Responsibilities

• Prepare, fabricate, and inspect 3D-printed prototypes
• Create or modify prototype parts and simple fixtures in CAD
• Select materials and build parameters and prepare print files
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot printers
• Complete post-processing and inspect critical dimensions
• Support assembly checks and functional testing
• Track failures, test process changes, and verify improvements
• Maintain revision-controlled files, material records, and inspection results
• Maintain a safe and organized prototyping workspace
