About the Role

Voyager Technologies seeks a hands-on technical Program Manager with an engineering background to lead mission-critical embedded systems programs. The role partners across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, business development, customers, and executive leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate U.S. Security Clearance; requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, aerospace, systems, mechanical, or related engineering.
  • Engineering background involving embedded systems, avionics, electronics, hardware/software integration, or similar mission-critical products.
  • 3+ years of program management, technical program management, engineering program leadership, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting defense, space, or other highly regulated technical environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, resource-constrained, or startup-like environments.
  • Strong understanding of technical scope, cost, schedule, risk, customer deliverables, and execution tradeoffs.
  • Experience with contracts, statements of work, deliverables, milestones, and customer obligations.
  • Working knowledge of DFARS, prime contracts, subcontractor flow-downs, and government contracting.
  • Familiarity with ITAR and export-controlled programs.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations and drive execution with limited data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational discipline, follow-through, and communication skills.
  • Experience with defense or space programs under firm-fixed-price, cost-plus, or other government contract types.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and cost/schedule performance tracking.
  • Willingness to support program needs outside normal business hours when required.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable export regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of embedded systems programs for defense and space customers.
  • Own program performance across cost, schedule, technical scope, risk, quality, contractual deliverables, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with engineering teams to assess technical tradeoffs, requirements, and execution risks.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, risk registers, action trackers, deliverable trackers, and executive status reports.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, business development, and customer-facing teams.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; develop mitigation plans and drive issues to closure.
  • Lead recovery efforts for challenged programs and restore stable, predictable execution.
  • Support contract reviews, proposals, statements of work, milestones, deliverables, and customer communications.
  • Ensure alignment with contract requirements, subcontractor flow-downs, customer expectations, and compliance obligations.
  • Support DFARS, ITAR, export-control, and defense-program compliance processes.
  • Communicate program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Build strong customer relationships through disciplined execution, transparency, and ownership.
  • Drive accountability, urgency, attention to detail, and continuous improvement across assigned programs.
