About the Role
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of a multi-year, defense-scale manufacturing build-out, from facility permitting, layout, and utilities through production qualification. You will coordinate robotic applications, production operations, external collaborators, NAVSEA qualification, stakeholder reporting, risks, milestones, and inter-company handoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, a related engineering field, or equivalent professional engineering experience
- 10+ years of program or project management experience in complex, highly regulated engineering environments
- Experience standing up new production capability
- Experience managing executive-level and cross-organizational stakeholders
- Ability to create a sequenced plan amid ambiguity and evolving scope
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across multiple teams
- Meet United States export-control eligibility requirements and maintain work authorization throughout employment
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of the manufacturing build-out, from facility setup through production qualification
- Coordinate qualified production operations as volume scales
- Sequence robotic applications across cutting, beveling, grinding, blasting, spraying, inspection, and material handling
- Coordinate design and scheduling with engineering teams and an external robotics collaborator
- Own the NAVSEA qualification roadmap and translate federal requirements into an approval plan
- Report program status, risks, and milestones to executive and government stakeholders
- Identify and resolve cross-functional program risks and bottlenecks
- Maintain program requirements, milestones, and inter-company handoffs
- Use AI-native tools to track status, surface risks, and maintain documentation
- Travel to customer and program sites up to 25% of the time
