About the Role
You will manage all phases of aerospace program execution, including plans, schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, risks, status reports, and customer communication. You will manage profit and loss, subcontractors, reviews, proposals, follow-on business, and travel to customer locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
- 20+ years of program management experience
- 10–15 years managing Department of Defense propulsion programs
- Integrated Master Schedule and Integrated Master Plan experience
- Earned Value Management experience
- Large subcontract management experience
- Executive and customer program-status briefing experience
- U.S. Government customer program management experience
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Project experience
- Current DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and monitor projects to maintain scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage project profit and loss
- Create and review program management documentation
- Ensure engineering, production, workforce, and facility resources are available
- Direct project staff on budgets and execution
- Ensure program deliverables are met
- Identify, escalate, and address program risks and issues
- Serve as the primary customer contact
- Pursue follow-on and new business opportunities
- Maintain internal program management process adherence
- Participate in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving meetings
- Contribute to proposals for follow-on work
- Travel to customer locations
