About the Role
You will build and improve financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. You will analyze financial and operational data, support program financial health and cost tracking, monitor actuals against plans, support EAC updates and close activities, and improve financial reporting through automation and data transformation.
Requirements
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defence industry supporting government or defence programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis proficiency
- Understanding of IFRS, AASB, and GAAP
- Experience applying accounting principles in government contracting
- Familiarity with cost accounting and government contract structures including T&M, CPFF, and FFP
- Understanding of financial statements and business metrics
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Analyze financial and operational data and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Support program financial health, cost tracking, and workforce planning
- Support Earned Value Management or equivalent program performance frameworks
- Monitor actuals against plan, flag risks and opportunities, and support Estimate at Completion updates
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end close activities, variance analysis, and executive reporting
- Support operational planning cycles, business reviews, and investment decision-making
- Support data transformation and basic modeling initiatives
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities in financial reporting and analysis
- Align day-to-day financial operations with long-term strategic goals
