About the Role
You will lead daily production operations, organize labor, assign work, and drive output against production schedules. You will enforce safety and PPE requirements, train and coach operators, and ensure they have necessary tools and materials. You will troubleshoot operational issues, lead shift communication, conduct reviews, support cross-training, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and execute production activities
- Problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills
- Ability and willingness to operate production equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain required state and federal explosives licenses
- Ability to work around physical demands, machinery, and explosives
- Ability to lift, move, or carry items up to 50 pounds
- Must meet minimum age requirements of 21 and over
- Must meet drug screening and legally required background investigation requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations, organize labor, assign tasks, and drive output against production schedules
- Enforce safe work practices and compliance with operating procedures, PPE, and material-handling requirements
- Train and coach production employees on processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements
- Ensure operators have the tools, materials, PPE, and equipment needed for their work
- Monitor production activity, troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and escalate systemic concerns
- Lead shift-level communication on expectations, production goals, and work-instruction changes
- Conduct performance reviews, support employee development, and promote cross-training
- Support 5S and kaizen initiatives, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
