About the Role
Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules for PCB assembly manufacturing, balancing demand, materials, labor, equipment, and capacity. Coordinate with procurement, inventory, manufacturing, quality, engineering, and customer service teams to keep production plans executable and responsive.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, engineering, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in electronics manufacturing
- Experience with PCB assembly, SMT, EMS, semiconductor, or similar production environments
- Understanding of ERP or MRP systems, production scheduling, inventory control, and capacity planning
- Experience coordinating with procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, and engineering teams
- Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
- Ability to interpret bills of material, routings, demand plans, and work orders
- Experience supporting SMT and PCB assembly operations preferred
- Experience with NPI, ECOs, and controlled manufacturing documentation preferred
- Experience with KPI reporting, schedule adherence, and root-cause follow-up preferred
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain daily and weekly PCB assembly production schedules
- Review customer orders, forecasts, backlog, and demand signals
- Release, prioritize, and manage ERP or MRP work orders
- Coordinate component and raw-material availability
- Identify shortages, capacity constraints, and schedule conflicts
- Drive mitigation plans for planning issues
- Sequence jobs and adjust priorities based on production-floor conditions
- Monitor work-in-process, line loading, schedule attainment, backlog, and overdue orders
- Support new product introduction and engineering-change implementation
- Analyze planning data and production metrics
- Maintain planning parameters, routings, lead times, and BOM data
- Communicate schedule changes and recovery plans
- Support cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and materials reconciliation
- Improve planning, scheduling, and production-control processes
- Follow safety, quality, and compliance requirements
