About the Role

You lead product design for assigned digital journeys by defining experience direction, designing scalable web and mobile interactions, shaping information architecture, driving design quality, translating research into recommendations, supporting design systems, influencing product strategy, and mentoring designers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital product design, UX, interaction design, service design, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of design leadership experience
  • Post-secondary education in design, human-computer interaction, digital media, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience defining product design direction, interaction models, information architecture, and experience frameworks
  • Experience leading discovery and design through ambiguity
  • Experience with design critiques, accessibility checks, design QA, stakeholder presentations, and design systems
  • High proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, prototyping, documentation, and developer handoff
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Lean, dual-track product development, WCAG/AODA accessibility standards, inclusive design, and design maturity practices
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and shipped digital experiences
  • Understanding of responsive web, iOS, Android, accessibility implications, and front-end implementation considerations

Responsibilities

  • Define product design direction for assigned product journeys
  • Lead multi-channel experience design across web and native mobile experiences
  • Shape information architecture and navigation strategy
  • Drive design quality through critiques and quality standards
  • Partner with Research, Product, Technology, and Content Design on discovery
  • Translate research evidence into actionable design recommendations
  • Support adoption of design systems, standards, and reusable patterns
  • Influence product strategy and roadmaps through cross-functional partnership
  • Mentor designers and facilitate workshops
  • Build capability in accessibility, prototyping, and human-centered design
