About the Role
You will lead communications for product launches, technical integrations, trust, security, privacy, reliability, and incidents. You will shape product narratives, develop press materials, pitch stories, build media and analyst relationships, and help technical leaders prepare for media, conferences, and podcasts. You will coordinate with product marketing and partnerships, manage external incident responses, and ensure product news reaches technical creators, communities, podcasts, and Substacks.
Requirements
- Technical fluency in how software products work architecturally
- Product communications experience at a fast-moving technology company
- Trust, security, privacy, or incident communications experience
- Media relationships in the technology and AI ecosystem
- Experience covering AI, developer tools, or enterprise technology
- Clear, concise, and technical writing ability
- Experience managing product launch processes and incident response
- 5–8 years of communications experience, including product launches and trust or incident communications at a technology company
- Ability to work effectively across time zones
- English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Lead trust, security, and incident communications
- Manage external communications during product incidents
- Lead earned-media strategy for product launches
- Develop positioning, press materials, and product story pitches
- Build a repeatable product launch communications process
- Build relationships with journalists, technical writers, creators, analysts, and technical influencers
- Help journalists, creators, and influencers experience the product firsthand
- Develop spokesperson platforms for the CTO, CISO, and product and engineering leaders
- Prepare spokespeople for media, conferences, and podcasts
- Lead communications for technical integrations and platform capabilities
- Coordinate product integration narratives with product marketing and partnerships
- Distribute product news through Substacks, podcasts, technical creators, and communities
