About the Role
You will advise product, research, and engineering stakeholders on privacy and data-protection issues. You will translate technical architecture into risk advice, negotiate privacy terms, lead privacy diligence for transactions, and develop scalable privacy processes and programs.
Requirements
- Hold a JD from an accredited law school
- Maintain active membership in a U.S. state bar
- Advise technology businesses on privacy and data protection
- Draft and negotiate data-protection agreements
- Know global privacy laws across the Americas, EEA, and APAC
- Read and engage with technical documentation
- Produce clear legal advice
Responsibilities
- Counsel product, research, and engineering teams on privacy issues
- Translate technical architecture into actionable risk advice
- Provide guidance on safety, security, and data protection
- Lead privacy work for strategic deals and partnerships
- Negotiate data-protection terms in commercial agreements
- Lead privacy diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Collaborate on privacy analysis and legal positions
