About the Role
You will define the architecture and technical roadmap for shared test automation frameworks. You will design framework components and automated test suites, integrate testing with CI/CD and laboratory systems, develop test-result data tools, debug complex cross-stack issues, and provide technical leadership through mentoring and reviews.
Requirements
- Professional experience in test automation, validation infrastructure, developer tooling, or related systems
- Technical leadership experience at Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer scope
- Python
- Bash or comparable scripting language
- Framework architecture and configuration management
- Linux or Unix
- Git
- Continuous integration and delivery
- Hardware test, system validation, or embedded platform experience
- Debugging across software, firmware, hardware, networks, and laboratory infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical roadmap for test automation frameworks
- Design and implement framework components, interfaces, configuration models, and reusable libraries
- Translate hardware specifications into scalable automated test suites
- Establish standards for reliability, maintainability, versioning, documentation, observability, and result integrity
- Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines, source control, laboratory infrastructure, and test orchestration
- Develop tools and data pipelines for test-result analysis and visualization
- Lead debugging across software, operating systems, firmware, hardware, and laboratory environments
- Mentor engineers and conduct design and code reviews
