About the Role
You will define technical roadmaps and lead the architecture of vehicle software stacks. You will improve code quality, testing, and observability; resolve architectural blockers; and create reusable solutions. You will partner across hardware and software functions, mentor technical leaders, and balance strategic guidance with deep technical engagement.
Requirements
- Robotics middleware and real-time systems experience
- C++17/20 expertise in memory management and concurrency
- Python proficiency
- Experience shipping complex autonomous, distributed, or safety-critical embedded systems
- Ability to debug hardware and software boundary issues
- Communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs
- Understanding of safety constraints in self-driving systems
Responsibilities
- Define technical roadmaps and manage technical debt against feature delivery
- Lead design of complex cross-functional systems
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and observability
- Lead design reviews and resolve architectural blockers
- Create centralized reusable solutions for shared technical challenges
- Partner across hardware, software, simulation, data, and DevOps functions
- Identify cross-project dependencies and risks
- Mentor senior and staff engineers
- Provide strategic and deep technical guidance based on project risk
