About Crusoe
Crusoe, the AI factory company, provides Crusoe Cloud and Crusoe Intelligence Foundry for AI development and production. Its offerings include managed inference, serverless fine-tuning, high-performance NVIDIA and AMD compute, accelerated storage, RDMA networking, managed Kubernetes and Slurm, and operations tooling. The company also designs, builds, and operates modular AI data-center infrastructure using an energy-first approach, serving customers that need scalable training, inference, and AI platform infrastructure.
Skills
About the Role
You will define and own network architecture across bare-metal data centers, RDMA interconnects, SDN control planes, Kubernetes networking, and cloud overlays. You will establish intent-based and declarative networking practices, build source-of-truth and automation workflows, define telemetry and remediation systems, lead architecture reviews, and mentor network engineers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive network engineering and architecture experience
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience designing large-scale data center networks with 500+ switches across multi-campus environments
- Expert knowledge of BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, OSPF, ECMP, BFD, and data center routing design
- Production experience with SDN controllers and network programmability
- Hands-on Kubernetes networking experience, including CNI selection, network policies, and BGP integration
- Understanding of RDMA and HPC networking, including RoCEv2, InfiniBand, PFC, ECN, and lossless fabric design
- Software engineering fundamentals, including Git, CI/CD, code review, and infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end network architecture for AI data centers, including spine-leaf fabrics, out-of-band management, RDMA interconnects, and inter-campus WANs
- Design and evolve SDN control planes for programmable underlay and overlay networking
- Define Kubernetes CNI selection, network policies, service mesh, and BGP peering architecture
- Architect intent-based networking frameworks and declarative GitOps-driven provisioning
- Build and own the network source-of-truth strategy, including IPAM, DCIM, and CMDB data models
- Design day-0, day-1, and day-2 network automation workflows
- Define streaming telemetry, intent verification, and closed-loop remediation pipelines
- Establish engineering standards, lead architecture reviews, and author design documents
- Mentor senior and staff network engineers
