About the Role

Lead the evolution of Xsolla's authentication and authorization stack, architect a next-generation identity platform, build high-performance Golang microservices, integrate modern IAM standards, mentor engineering teams, and deliver scalable, compliant identity features.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in backend or systems engineering, including 5+ years designing authentication and authorization services.
  • Expert-level Golang skills and experience building distributed, event-driven microservices.
  • Experience with identity federation, token management, and access control systems.
  • Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and SCIM.
  • Knowledge of security principles, encryption, key management, and secrets management systems.
  • Experience building high-availability Kubernetes systems using AWS or GCP.
  • Strong architectural vision and ability to influence cross-team design and technology direction.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the design of Xsolla's next-generation identity platform supporting authentication, authorization, SSO, and account federation.
  • Develop high-performance Golang microservices managing user identity, access tokens, and permission enforcement at global scale.
  • Collaborate with security, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to embed Zero Trust principles and standardize access governance.
  • Integrate OAuth2, OIDC, and SCIM to improve developer experience and partner integrations.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams on secure service design and identity best practices.
  • Partner with product teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and user-friendly identity features.
  • Define and enforce API and data security standards supporting compliance initiatives.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party identity frameworks and open-source solutions.
