About the Role

You will design and develop space-qualified electronics and complete PCB design from schematics through fabrication files. You will test and troubleshoot flight hardware, maintain technical documentation and traceability, review payload designs, support proposals and status reporting, and provide technical leadership to electrical engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of electrical design and development experience
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating electrical systems for space applications
  • Experience with PCB schematic layout, routing, symbol and footprint creation, and fabrication-file generation
  • Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and measurement tools
  • Experience leading technical reviews and mentoring engineers
  • Ability to support proposals and cost and schedule estimates
  • Travel up to 30%, including foreign and domestic overnight travel
  • Meet U.S. Government export-control requirements, including ITAR/EAR eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop space-qualified electronics, including power systems, command and data handling, flight computers, sensors, and digital and analog circuits
  • Complete PCB design from schematics through fabrication files
  • Author and maintain assembly instructions, test procedures, interface requirements, and test and analysis reports
  • Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting and oversee qualification and acceptance testing
  • Review payload designs for compatibility and compliance with space-exploration and NASA requirements
  • Support proposals, technical approaches, and status reporting
  • Maintain traceability for electrical components, systems, lab tools, and test equipment
