About the Role

The Press Brake Operator bends, shapes, cuts, and manipulates sheet metal and metal plates to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components. The role includes machine setup and adjustment, material management, measurement, quality inspection, routine maintenance, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate press brake controls
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret product plans
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Negative drug and alcohol test
  • Drug and alcohol program participation
  • Knowledge of metals and their properties is beneficial
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S methodologies is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Operate a press brake to manufacture components from sheet metal and metal plates
  • Prepare, set up, and adjust the press brake
  • Ensure sufficient raw materials are available
  • Measure and align materials
  • Inspect finished pieces for quality compliance
  • Perform routine press brake maintenance
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Perform related duties as assigned
