About the Role
You will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines to produce parts from engineering drawings. You will adjust offsets and cutter compensation, inspect completed parts, maintain production records, report quality issues, perform routine maintenance, and keep the shop safe and organized.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of CNC operator experience or completion of a machining or CNC program with hands-on machine time
- Experience setting up CNC or manual lathes and mills
- Experience with analog and digital measuring tools
- Ability to read blueprints and working knowledge of GD&T
- Accurate record-keeping and part tracking
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance and service intervals
- Availability for swing shift, weekends, and extended hours
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual lathes, and milling machines
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings, including GD&T callouts
- Set and adjust work offsets, tool offsets, and cutter compensation
- Inspect parts and verify accuracy before release
- Complete production logs and track part counts
- Report quality issues, tooling wear, and drawing questions
- Perform routine machine maintenance and scheduled service
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
