About the Role
You will perform X-ray inspections of solid propellant grains, evaluate radiographic images against engineering requirements, document results, and maintain inspection equipment. You will also conduct radiation safety activities and work with engineering, production, and quality personnel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level 2 radiography certification under NAS410 Rev 6
- At least 80 hours of formal radiography classroom education
- At least 1,000 hours of hands-on radiography experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct radiographic inspections using X-ray technology to identify defects and imperfections in solid propellant grains
- Evaluate images and interpret test results against engineering specifications, blueprints, and process instructions
- Document inspection findings and maintain quality records
- Set up, calibrate, and perform quality checks on equipment daily
- Conduct radiation safety surveys and complete annual radiation safety training
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to maintain quality and safety standards
