About the Role
You will operate and maintain battery energy-storage equipment and substations. You will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, troubleshoot electrical equipment, prepare switching orders, follow safety requirements, and help maintain plant documentation and site conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with electrical systems
- Knowledge of LOTO and electrical safety
- Technical proficiency with standard business software
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to commute reliably each day to the Westwing site
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned operations and maintenance activities at energy-storage sites and substations
- Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
- Calibrate instrumentation and troubleshoot inverters
- Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders
- Operate electrical and mechanical power-plant systems
- Complete technical and administrative operating and maintenance duties
- Assist with vegetation management when needed
- Write plant orders, procedures, and operating instructions
- Perform work in accordance with environmental and safety requirements
- Participate in required training
