About the Role
You will evaluate, shape, and optimize future CPU architectures using performance models, workload analysis, and quantitative analysis. You will investigate processor performance, assess architectural tradeoffs, develop or extend modeling tools, and turn analysis into actionable hardware design decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in CPU architecture, performance modeling, microarchitecture, performance analysis, or a related field
- Understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture, including pipelines, execution, scheduling, branch prediction, caches, memory hierarchy, and data movement
- Experience using performance models, simulation, or quantitative analysis to guide architectural decisions
- C++ or Python programming skills
- Experience developing or extending modeling and analysis tools
