About the Role
You will design, develop, and maintain custom applications, API integrations, webhooks, middleware, and automated workflows. You will extend Workday capabilities, build Python-based solutions, embed security and privacy controls, establish engineering standards and documentation, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development, application engineering, or integration engineering experience
- Python proficiency
- FastAPI or Flask proficiency
- REST API, JSON, webhook, OAuth, and GraphQL knowledge
- Integration platform, event-driven architecture, or middleware experience
- Workday API, Workday Extend, Studio, or similar cloud ecosystem familiarity
- Application security, access management, and privacy-by-design knowledge
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, API integrations, webhooks, and middleware
- Build custom application extensions and UI workflows using Workday Extend, Python, and low-code platforms
- Research, prototype, and deploy automated workflows and AI agents
- Embed access controls, data security, and GDPR compliance into software architectures
- Establish engineering practices, API specifications, and technical documentation
- Partner with technical and HR stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
