About the Role
You will own immigration and global mobility operations, managing visa cases, employee relocations, vendors, counsel, and compliance across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and expanding markets. You will advise recruiters and leaders, build processes for new countries, connect Legal, Finance, Payroll, and People teams, and establish international employment and travel infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in People Operations, global mobility, immigration, and compliance in a global context
- Strong vendor management skills
- Experience building processes from scratch at a scaling company
- Ability to take ownership and manage multiple tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to explain complex situations in plain language
- Organizational skills and sound compliance judgment
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy for the immigration program
- Benchmark immigration practices and define policies and approaches
- Select and manage immigration vendors and counsel
- Manage U.S., UK, and Canadian visa cases from offer stage through renewals and permanent residency
- Serve as the internal immigration expert
- Advise recruiters on visa eligibility and sponsorship options
- Expand immigration support to new countries
- Design and manage employee relocation processes
- Manage international relocation cases end to end
- Advise People Partners, recruiters, and business leaders on mobility questions
- Connect Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Business Partners, the business, and immigration counsel
- Own compliance for countries of operation, cross-border remote work, business travel, and employment classification
- Build infrastructure for payroll, employment law, immigration, and cultural requirements in new markets
- Establish and adapt international business travel guidelines
