About the Role
You will own the PCB layout lifecycle for complex multi-layer boards and manage the electronics component library. You will lead an ECAD-tool migration, review layouts, maintain design guidelines, and work with mechanical engineers and manufacturing partners to optimize electronics for production.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on electronics design and layout experience
- Proficiency with Altium, KiCad, Cadence, or another industry-standard ECAD tool
- Experience designing complex multi-layer PCBs
- Knowledge of functional safety and EMI and EMC compliance
- Knowledge of signal integrity, high-speed routing, controlled impedance, length matching, and return-path optimization
- Experience with DFM and DFA constraints and EMS collaboration
- Component-library management experience
Responsibilities
- Manage the PCB layout lifecycle for complex multi-layer boards
- Manage the electronics component library in InvenTree
- Lead evaluation, introduction, and migration to a new ECAD tool
- Conduct layout reviews for internal and external engineers
- Implement and update EDRC design guidelines
- Partner with mechanical engineers and EMS partners to optimize design for manufacturing and assembly
