About the Role
You will own end-to-end domestic and international payroll for employees, contractors, and commission recipients. You will build scalable payroll processes, manage providers, ensure payroll tax compliance, administer payroll programs, and partner with Finance, Accounting, People Operations, Tax, and Legal.
Requirements
- 5+ years of payroll, accounting operations, or finance operations experience
- Experience owning complex payroll in a high-growth environment
- Domestic and international payroll experience
- Experience with EORs, global payroll providers, and cross-border employee matters
- Knowledge of US payroll tax compliance
- Knowledge of international payroll tax and withholding concepts
- Experience with enterprise payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, or Rippling
- Based in San Francisco
- Willingness to work from the office five days per week
Responsibilities
- Run global payroll for employees, contractors, and commission recipients
- Design scalable payroll systems, automation, controls, and documentation
- Manage payroll providers, EORs, and benefits administrators
- Coordinate domestic and international payroll tax compliance
- Ensure accurate treatment of variable compensation
- Administer 401(k) contributions, payroll deductions, contractor payments, garnishments, and benefits inputs
