About the Role
You will define and own the design vision and strategy for payment products, establishing UX/UI best practices that balance business goals, user needs, and compliance requirements. You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers and UX researchers, driving end-to-end product design from discovery and journey mapping to prototyping and detailed UI specifications. You will conduct and apply user research and usability testing to improve product flows and reduce friction, and create design systems for consistency across app and web channels. You will partner with product managers, engineers, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, and CX teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, regulatory-compliant, and brand-consistent. You will stay ahead of payment UX trends across the Philippines, Southeast Asia, and globally, exploring opportunities to integrate emerging technologies such as QR Ph, NFC, merchant solutions, and blockchain into the payment journey.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Proven track record designing scalable payment systems, e-wallets, or financial services platforms
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, UI execution, and impact on business metrics
- Deep understanding of the Philippine digital payment landscape and regulatory framework
- Experience working in agile product development environments
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Background in payments or fintech
- Experience in designing for mass-market, mobile-first audiences in emerging markets
Responsibilities

- Create design systems and patterns for consistency across channels (app, web)
- Partner with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and technical feasibility
- Work closely with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure designs adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., BSP, AML, KYC)
- Collaborate with marketing and CX to ensure brand-consistent experiences
- Stay ahead of payment UX trends in PH, SEA, and globally
- Explore opportunities to integrate emerging technologies such as QR Ph, NFC, merchants, and blockchain into the payment journey
