About the Role
You will lead the operational safety program for ground, maritime, and flight-test operations. You will evaluate project risks, establish safety requirements, train operators, maintain compliant procedures, and oversee safety reviews and test readiness activities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduation from a certified test pilot school or 10+ years of testing experience leading test teams
- Maintenance, experimental, developmental, or production test experience
- Ordnance-handling experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Set company safety requirements
- Evaluate and mitigate project safety risks
- Act as the authority for elevated safety risks
- Maintain compliance with regulatory guidance and industry practices
- Deliver safety training and safety stand-downs
- Develop and approve test risk analyses
- Lead operational safety-plan reviews
- Participate in test planning, operations, and readiness reviews
