About the Role
You will own operational risk as a dedicated discipline within the enterprise risk program. You will design and run RCSA assessments, maintain the operational loss event database, perform scenario analysis, test key controls, and review engineering post-incident processes. You will produce risk reporting for senior leadership, the CRO, the Risk Committee, and the board.
Requirements
- 5+ years of operational risk management experience
- At least 2 years in a dedicated operational risk role at a regulated financial services institution
- Hands-on experience building or running an RCSA process
- Experience with operational loss event management and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with operational risk scenario analysis
- Experience working with Engineering or Technology teams in a risk capacity
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience at a digital asset, payments, or fintech company with complex technology-dependent operations
- Familiarity with model risk management concepts
- ORM, FRM, PRM, or equivalent risk credential
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the operational risk framework
- Build and maintain the operational loss event database
- Design and run the RCSA process across business lines
- Perform scenario analysis for major operational risks
- Independently test key operational controls
- Review post-incident reports and track remediation commitments
- Escalate recurring operational risk patterns
