About the Role

You will design and operate an independent risk management program for a Canadian crypto business. You will conduct risk assessments, manage issues and incidents, evaluate products and digital assets, prepare board and committee reporting, support regulatory reviews, and collaborate with compliance and cross functional stakeholders.

Requirements

7 or more years of risk management experience in financial services crypto fintech operations or a comparably regulated industry
Experience building or independently operating a risk program
Working knowledge of the Canadian financial services regulatory environment
Experience with CIRO CSA or crypto specific regulatory frameworks preferred
Experience designing risk governance frameworks policies and procedures
Experience with RCSAs key risk indicators and issue management
Experience presenting to boards risk committees or senior executives
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience using data automation and AI enabled tools for risk monitoring and reporting
Experience with GRC tools is a plus

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain an independent Canadian risk management program
Conduct risk assessments including RCSAs
Manage issues and incidents through remediation and closure
Evaluate new products digital assets and business changes
Provide independent risk opinions
Prepare board and risk committee reporting
Support regulatory exams audits and assessments
Partner with compliance operations engineering legal and enterprise risk stakeholders
