About the Role
The NOC Technician monitors and controls site access and surveillance systems, performs building and power system inspections, follows emergency and incident protocols, produces event reports, manages access credentials, maintains communication between the NOC and operations, configures monitoring tools, creates classified tickets, and independently owns incident procedures through resolution.
Requirements
- DES, AEC, or DEC diploma, ideally in computer science
- At least 1 year of experience in camera monitoring or as a security agent
- Knowledge of Office 365
- Basic knowledge of Windows
- French and English bilingualism is an asset
Responsibilities
- Control site access and monitor surveillance cameras using Unifi, Tailscal, Insite Gold, VirtualKeyPad, and Reolink Client
- Perform interior and exterior building inspection rounds
- Follow and implement emergency and incident protocols
- Maintain site health and safety measures
- Power sites on and off and prevent unauthorized entry
- Arm and disarm sites
- Produce accurate event reports
- Monitor machine compute power and temperatures using MGMT tools
- Inspect power supply systems
- Create and disable access cards and maintain access logs
- Maintain communication between the NOC and operations
- Configure and update monitoring software and tools
- Use advanced monitoring and access-tool features to trace past events
- Provide on-call technician support
- Create classified tickets in WebSynco
- Identify operational anomalies and determine appropriate resolutions
- Own emergency and incident procedures through full resolution
