About the Role
You will assess existing networks and design secure, scalable enterprise network architectures. You will lead implementations, migrations, testing, and operational handoffs; establish standards and documentation; integrate security and compliance controls; troubleshoot complex issues; and provide technical direction to infrastructure personnel.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience
- Expert knowledge of routing and switching, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP, IP addressing, segmentation, and network monitoring
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, redundancy, high availability, QoS, and resilient network design
- Experience designing and implementing multi-site networks
- Experience with network discovery, architecture, modernization, migration, and implementation
- U.S. Person status for export-controlled work
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or TS/SCI upon hire
Responsibilities
- Lead network discovery and current-state assessments
- Document topology, connectivity, segmentation, network services, monitoring, and dependencies
- Develop network diagrams, gap assessments, remediation plans, and migration recommendations
- Design secure and highly available LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and network-service architectures
- Develop network standards, reference architectures, configuration standards, and technology roadmaps
- Lead network builds, migrations, integrations, cutovers, and testing
- Implement security controls, segmentation, access control, logging, and secure remote access
- Maintain architecture, configuration, change, and as-built documentation
- Lead complex incident analysis and translate lessons into engineering improvements
- Mentor network engineers and coordinate with vendors and carriers
