About the Role
You will perform X-ray radiographic inspections of solid propellant grains and assess components for defects. You will evaluate images against specifications, document findings, calibrate equipment, complete radiation-safety activities, and work with engineering, technician, and production functions to maintain quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level 2 radiography certification under NAS410 Rev 6
- 80 hours of formal radiography classroom education
- 1,000 hours of hands-on radiography experience
- Meet U.S. Government export-control requirements, including ITAR/EAR eligibility
Responsibilities
- Conduct X-ray radiographic inspections of solid propellant grains
- Evaluate images and interpret results against engineering specifications, blueprints, and process instructions
- Document findings and maintain quality-assurance records
- Set up and calibrate equipment and perform quality checks
- Conduct radiation safety surveys and complete annual radiation safety training
- Collaborate to maintain quality and safety standards
