About the Role
You will own prototype-component machining from material preparation through programming, setup, machining, and inspection. You will operate multi-axis mill-turn CNC equipment, translate CAD/CAM data and drawings into machining strategies, hold tight tolerances, inspect finished parts, maintain shop readiness, and communicate project constraints and timelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machining, including mill-turn equipment
- Experience programming in a 3D CAD/CAM environment
- Experience machining complex 3D parts and holding tight tolerances
- Proficiency with hand metrology, including calipers, micrometers, and surface plate inspection
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience
Responsibilities
- Machine complex prototype components from material preparation through inspection
- Program, set up, and operate multi-axis mill-turn CNC equipment
- Translate 3D CAD/CAM data and drawings into machining strategies
- Hold tight tolerances through tooling, workholding, machining parameters, and in-process inspection
- Inspect finished components and resolve dimensional or machining issues
- Maintain safe, organized machining operations
- Communicate project status, timelines, constraints, and delivery impacts
