About the Role
You will lead daily field execution of the merchant onboarding strategy in your assigned zone. You will supervise Merchant Field Openers, monitor performance, organize briefings and field visits, coach underperforming staff, track progress with dashboards, analyze merchant data, lead onboarding quality checks, coordinate team deployment, organize training, and report performance and operational issues to the Regional Lead.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience managing or coordinating field-based teams
- Experience in merchant acquisition, distribution, or retail field operations is a plus
- Proficiency with tracking tools such as Google Sheets and dashboards
- Fluency in French
- Availability for frequent field travel
- Strong knowledge of upcountry regions is a plus
- Work authorization in Senegal
Responsibilities
- Manage the Merchant Opening Team in the allocated zone
- Supervise Merchant Openers and monitor their daily performance against key KPIs
- Identify field blockers and coordinate with the Regional Lead and internal teams to resolve them
- Organize daily briefings, field visits, and weekly performance reviews
- Identify and coach underperforming staff and escalate unresolved performance issues
- Use dashboards and Google Sheets to track progress and define action plans
- Analyze merchant data and field feedback to adapt the zone strategy
- Support expansion planning for new markets or segments
- Lead field visits, mystery shopping, and onboarding quality checks
- Ensure QR codes, t-shirts, badges, phones, and Field App access are available and functional
- Coordinate team deployment according to foot traffic, market needs, and team availability
- Organize training for Merchant Field Officers
- Onboard new Merchant Field Officers and clarify their objectives and working tools
- Share daily and weekly updates with the Regional Lead
- Document and escalate issues requiring collaboration with engineering, support, or risk teams
